Zhuo (Jo) Li
The McPin Foundation Research Lead
Jo is a researcher working on the qualitative work package of Bridging Divides. She leads interviews and workshops with young people, and supervises and mentors young co-researchers involved in the project. Her background is in clinical research, with a focus on eating disorders and neurodivergence. Jo is particularly interested in body image and the appearance pressures young people face today, and how these affect mental health. More broadly, her work explores how socio-cultural factors shape mental health and influence the effectiveness of care.
Outside of work Jo enjoys bouldering, writing short stories, video games, and trying overly ambitious recipes when she is stressed.
