Thai-sha richards
KCL Research Team & Youth Leadership Team (YLT)
Thai-Sha (she/her) is a Research Assistant on Bridging Divides. Her first involvement was doing work experience on the REACH study back in 2019, when she was only 15. A year later, she re-joined the project as a Young Persons Advisory Group member, from which her role developed into a Youth Co-researcher, and then again to the Youth Leadership Team. She recently completed my integrated master's degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Reading.
As a member of the project team, she supports the day-to-day running of the study, contributing to data collection activities, including both qualitative and quantitative research methods. She’s also involved in project’s youth engagement work, helping to ensure that young people’s voices and experiences remain at the heart of the research. Most recently, she started leading on our social media comms too.
Her academic background in Clinical Psychology has provided her with experience in research methods and understanding factors that influence wellbeing. She’s particularly interested in supporting young people’s mental health through prevention and early intervention approaches, with a focus on developing strategies that promote wellbeing and reduce the risk of mental health difficulties.
Outside of the project, Thai-Sha enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, and discovering new food spots.
